BRB..what's hot, what's not?

railrider1920 Jun 20, 2006 12:47 PM

Hi folks,
With all the different types of snakes there are in the pet trade, sometimes one particular color phase of snake is the most wanted. Maybe a year or two later it's another color or morph.

The first BRBs we were looking at were more orange, but then my wife handled one that was more red and decided that is the type she wanted instead. With the BRBs, what type or color is it that most people are hot for now? Ones that are more red or more orange?

Just wondering,
Rob

My observation is that some like them red....others like them orange. The one thing in common is a spectacular snake catches ALL the attention. I prefer red, but I am really growing on the orange.

Linda's right, red or orange is really a personal choice. More so then red or orange is one with LOTS of color, LOTS of contrast and/or LOTS of pattern. I like others on this forum have produced hundreds of babies and can tell you from personal experience, the really colorful ones go first. (except for the "really" colorful ones, those don't go anywhere at all.

Dave,
...I just don't know how anyone who owns this snake

could waste any time or cage space on Bci. I have a few Surinams around but just to keep my careful handling practices with BIG snakes up to date.
LOL,
Jeff
