A couple free minutes today so here's a quick pic........

I seem to have absolutely no free time these days so I'm finally posting some pics of the baby Suri's. These were born last Saturday which was actually her due day. She had her waxy stool in the morning & babies that afternoon. The count is 19 babies, 1/8 of a slug (kinda odd) & 0 stillborns. I actually managed to see the last one come out no camera handy though. The entirre birth couldn't have lasted more than 10 minutes. I looked in her cage first & she was acting like she was ready to drop. Then I had to assist feed one of the Gilas (couldn't have taken more than 10 minutes & probably closer to 5) I then checked her again & there were some little heads poking around & just caught her delivering the last one or two. No wonder I never seem to catch them giving birth. I've always suspected most of mine give birth in about 15 minutes it's beginning to look as though I was correct. Anyway, the babies all seem to average about 22" long.

Enjoy & congrats to everyone else with litters this year.
