Sinaloan enclosure size question

TwoSnakes Jun 20, 2006 07:38 PM

Hello
My sinaloan will be a year old this July . He was in a 10 gallon tank till 3 months ago eating fuzzies.
He is now in an enclosure thats 30 inches long 14 inches wide and 14 inches tall. He has been eating like a pig and growing rather fast since Spring .
He is now roughly 24 inches. He looks like he shot up like a tree in last 3 months . Though this enclosure is new I regret not getting a 48 inch long 14 inches wide instead of this size .
I am thinking of just getting it and will use this enclosure for another smaller type king or milk. My sinaloan came from average size parents. I imagine 48 inches will suffice for rest of his life ?
His new home is decorated with driftwood ,cave type hide areas did the natural set up increase his hunger or its just the age,Summer ?
He is still great to handle and is out every night . driftwood is thick so he climbs it .

a 30" long cage by 14" deep is probably big enough for an adult sinaloan. My general rule of thumb is that the Length Depth of the cage should be close to the length of the snake. so if your sinaloan ends up being up to 4 feet, I think you're in good shape.

Good luck.
