monitorman85 Jun 21, 2006 09:47 AM

hey all first time posting in here how is everyone doing great i hope.i got my first arg b&w tegu a few days ago and im having problems keeping my humidity down for some reason any ideas on how to lower it more?its at 85% im trying to keep it at 65-75% for sheding better and from what i have read they seem to like the humidity at around that level.i have tried fans, leaving the top door open and using 4 heat lamps but nothing seems to work.he is about 30in and in a 6x3x3 cage with dirt and cypress mixed.i dont like cypress to much because of the humidity thing but he seems to enjoy it.his temps are cool side 75 warm side 82.3 and basking temp is 135-145.any ideas on getting humidity down let me know.thanks

congrats on being the first one with the opposite of the normal problem lol. maybe you could install vents in the roof of the cage. but where exactly are you putting your humidity gage. is it directly above the water bowl, i am really stumped on this one

i need to see this tongue. it may be from an old injury. yeah people use platforms all the tie for basking.
