Small litter with a few nice babies.....

kirby Jun 21, 2006 06:16 PM

A few years ago I produced some 50% surinam hypos witha dominant salmon male and good quality surinam. This litter is from one of those 50% surinam females bred with a motley male.
There are 2 25%surinam Motleys, 1 25%surinam hypo and 2 colorfull 25% surinams. The surinam hypos are my favorite hypos. It will be interesting to see what color these Motleys show as they grow.

These already show some good color. This litter is from my other Motley male so I am glad both are now proven breeders.

The date of birth on this one was a surprise. Her apparent POS would have given her a due date of July 28 so I was surprised when I walked in and saw babies. I went back and checked my records and had noted a possible ovulation on Feb 20th which would make perfect sense. She just didn't shed until late in April.

the Motleys having seen 2 litters of them now. In addition to combination morph projects I am going to try to prodcue Motleys with the best pattern and color possible. It will be interesting to see if really colorfull Motleys will produce different colored super Motleys. Thanks again.
