Pastel group shot....new 06 babies

EmberBall Jun 21, 2006 06:32 PM

Yes, I know everyone is hatching out Pastels these days, but these are my first Pastels, so it is still exciting to me. These are a few days old, have not had their first shed, and are unsexed right now. One normal and three Pastels, Bell line.

Nice fat babies. They look awesome, good job. Pastels are beautiful. Claude

Dave they look great! I still have another month to wait before my first clutch of pastels hatches out and I can't wait to see what I get. I think pastels are very underrated because of how many are out there, but at the same time not all pastels are created equall. Is there a chance of seeing a super ember this year? It will be cool to see the results of that project.

Super Ember = no for this year. The male Ember just did not want to breed this year, granted he is only around 9 months old NOW, so about 7 or 8 months old during breeding season, so that would have been pushing it anyways. The Ember adult female was bred by a Pastel this year, no eggs yet, but she ovulated and looks big! The Mojave cross female laid 8 eggs, bred to a Ghost male, so I have high hopes for them too. The Ember and Mojave cross females COULD be mother and daughter, I should know more this year. Fingers are crossed for next year.
