This female spot-nose just hatched. Her dad has a stripe. I wasn't sure if any of his offspring would show this same look, and was happy to see that one of the two spot-nose that hatched had it also.

That is HOT!!!! Can't wait to see how the Pastel Spot-nose colors up as it matures. Congrats on hatching such beautiful pythons.
me of a jungle carpet, I'm hoping it will be super contrast yellow and solid black. But there is more... I know it seems crazy, but it looks to us that there is another one of those "hidden genes" lurking around this project...stay tuned!
How long are you gunna keep us in suspense now........a hidden gene with the Spot.....what do you mean??????
Dont balls just rock!
Jared
well....we need to do a bit more, so stay tuned, but it looks like there is something else going on. I will have some more pics and explain a little more as soon as some babies I just had hatch shed.
very eagerly....
Jared
Everything you touch turns to gold you lucky SOB.... You buy a spot and now there is a hidden gene, you buy a shatter from me and I know your going to pop some damn crazy super and just tick me off with that one as well.

two look alike, though she is pretty close to her dad below.
The "hidden something " I'm referring to, has nothing to do with the stripe though.
Father of baby shown in last post-(mom is an albino!)
Will make a wicked nice snake.....
I like the little double spot on her nose........from the top it looks like a heart........
How about a pic of baaby girl and daddy for comparison...
Congrats Tracy.

so.. the spot nose morph is distinguished so because of the yellow spot on the nose. any other distinguishes marks that make it a spot nose. Sweeet looking snake i love when they have a full stripe
you know you have a stellar project when you've got a guy who only keeps boas wishing he had one! Any idea about the stripe factor? Do you think it may be an independent dominant mutation, or maybe something triggered by the spotnose and evident in some of them?
I don't know enough about the stripe-need some more info.
Re the "hidden" thing (which has nothing to do with the stripe)--it might not be so hidden--read that as you may see something in the normals that are produced when breeding spot-nose to normal. I'm going to wait until this clutch sheds and then come back with some pics and as much detail as I know/and I am thinking about anyway. Thanks for all the nice comments from everyone.
Very cool looking Spot Nose Tracy! The Spot Nose project is at the top of the "must have" list for most people , the Super form is probably the most unique of all the Supers thus far.. Congrats and good luck with them Tracy! Anthony McCain-McCain's Reptiles.
Good looking animal
