My girlfriend put all the beardies in their outdoor pens yesterday. A couple hours later she went to check on them and Casper had gotten out. We are still not quite sure how. We looked seemingly everwhere but could not find him. This morning I went to try and find him again and luckily he was outside. He had climbed up on top of a bush and was sunning and looking mighty pleased with himself. I guess it's time to ditch the rubbermaid bins and make some real outdoor cages.

Peter.

PS: What do you guys think this a cross between Coral and Casper would look like? Here's Coral and Casper is underneath:

I have one dragon in clutch 3's bin who I keep finding sitting on the top rim of the two bins, basking. (they are in the 45qt bins) He always just gets up and looks into the two bins like he is on top of the world. I have to find more of the 65qt ones. Every place is out of them here???

Also,, Carbon got out of a 65qt bin.??? I don't know how the heck she did it. It's 13" tall. I heard a noise of something falling onto paper and I went and looked to find her sitting on a paper bag on the floor. I'll have to rename her to Super Carbon. lol

I have to find more 65qt bins and get to making my adult rack (it will be the same as the baby rack but be enclosed with sliding glass doors rather than bins)

I'm glad you found yours. Another thing you might want to be careful of, especially if you are leaving them unattended outside, is Birds of prey. They will snatch a dragon up in a sec. if they see them in a bin without some kind of covering.
just something to think about.

I have bird netting over the cages, we think the bird netting may have hung into the cage a bit and he used that to get out. I found Coral on the top of her rubbermaid tank once too. I move her basking rock more towards the middle of the cage and she hasn't gotten out again. I need to do an overhaul of my cages anyway as my younger ones are getting bigger.

About $3-$5 each and also, crickets can not climb up the walls of them liek the rubbermaids!

You can find them at Dollar General and Walmarts

so I try to stay with mine. I built them a screened cage, but most of the time I use the kiddie pool. I have to get my kids to help me when I have them outside. I can't risk leaving my BD's outside alone, even in the cage. It wouldn't stop a hungry hawk. They're HUGE. One flew right over the house the other day, about twenty feet up. Good thing I was only walking the dog (chow) at that time.
