How long till a corn snake reaches full size?

CrestedGecko Aug 01, 2003 02:36 PM

Hi everybody, I just wanted to know this. I've had my corn snake since I was in sixth grade, so that would make him around 5 or 6 years old. He is about 4 feet long, but he is not as thick as most of the snakes I see. I heard from somewhere that they grow to their full length, then begin to build up. Is this true, or is my snake just not that thick? He happy and healthy and I'm going to get him a larger tank soon. He's in a 20 gallon right now. Thanks

I have about 15 adult corns. they vary alot in thickness. I think thier genetic background has alot to do with it. also, alot of people over feed them. griffindor
