Nice hatchlings

I really like this one!

How about these two? What is funny is these came from a female that was bred to our spider. I don't remember putting her with a pastel, but this is what came out of the eggs

Well, mojave eggs are almost hatched out as well, and they look to be some stunners. I'll post more pics once they are out.

We had considered that, but I don't think she had been bred previously. I must of had her in with the pastel male at some point.

KEEP RECORDS

right?

...............I personally don't think they hold sperm from year to year........

they know there is a male around.....they see males every year and actually they can smell them.....

I think in the wild ..in areas that have reduced populations of snakes....they may not see a male from year to year....then maybe they would adapt to hold/keep viable sperm longer....

yea......people believe what they want.....some people believe that snakes have procreated without ever being with a male.......
(I don't)/...........(parthenogenisis)

Well, I have to disagree with you on that one. If I didn't see it with my own eyes I wouldn't have believed it myself. A close friend of mine has had a pair of White Lip Vipers for about 10 years now. He originally got the female about 2 years before they male and both were hatchlings feeding on pinky parts. The female had 2 years growth on the male and neither were ever placed togeter, and to this day still haven't been.

Around 4 years of age, the female produced a litter of full term dead babies and a couple of unfertilized ovum. This was around '99 or so. I didn't believe it when he told me and just took it with a grain of salt.

Well, 2 years later.....another litter was produced. More full term dead babies and a couple of slugs. I kept telling him to put the male in there and get some live babies, but he didn't want any part of raising them.

Interesting stuff happens all the time.

opposite

bred a barker jungle carpet female for 8 years (2 at start) till she was 10 years old......sperm from 1 or 2 males all the time...all year long off and on.....

not 1 egg..period.......

they do what they want.....

........

wonder why everyones girls won't have babies without males?

wonder why that maleless female throws full term deads >?
sperm wouldn't help her.......?......

.......anyways........

Haha. Yeah, we kept pretty good records, but I think the pastel only would have been in there for a night to get the spider in breeding mode. Oh well, they turned out nice. I have to disagree about the parthanogenic stuff, as there have been documented cases of this. It just doesn't happen every day. "Nature will find a way" (name that movie).

Here is a pic of my spider. He has the broken head stripe on one side also.
I think the ball gods are telling you to make a bumble bee...lol

Nice spider. It was funny that the spiders were mainly female so far and the pastels were males. I will be producing bees next year, and our female spider just missed this year (unfortunately). Spiders are great.
