My neighbor gave me this snake and I researched it but could not get a positive ID on this guy. He is very docile and active. A true character.

Looks like the east TX version of a corn snake.

thanks for the posts... Had a pretty good debate going around my area about what kind of snake this was... It was between a corn snake, rat snake, or king snake... It is marked just like a corn snake but I couldn't find any pictures of corn snakes with it's brown and tan coloring with no hints of yellow or orange at all...
