I think I'd have to go with Cuban as well.

Here's a shot of one of mine. There are times when he looks like he doesn't have any pattern at all and he gets real light in color.

But look at the eyes and the toepads

It's a Cuban. They're all over Florida. There are some similar-looking frogs around the Caribbean but it's unlikely to be one of those.

Anyway, if you come across it or another one again, do Florida a favor and don't release it. On top of being large and strong enough to eat most of our natural frogs and small animals, they're also toxic and mess stuff up anyway. But, yes, they are cute

are they an introduced species?

::whaps self..NO more herp tanks!!:::

Yes, they are vative to Cuba and have found Florida a happy hunting ground. Not only are they introduced, but they are invasive and doing quite a number on the local frog population. Cuban Tree Frogs ar the largest tree frog in the US now and can and will eat anything small enough to fit into it's mouth. Including native species.

They are a VERY cool frog for captivity, honestly. I would have to say by far the easiest tree frog to care for.

The rate the Cubans are covering Florida is the main reason I didn't release the tadpoles that I found in one of my tanks. The outside population doesn't need them. But I didn't have the heart to kill them. So now I have over 30 froglets that I am hoping to find homes for.
