i thought some of you might like this picture, i took it of a wild anole that was swimming in my pool. dont worry, i fished him out after the picture, but im suprised i managed to get a clear shot as he was swimming so fast..

wow i cant imagine that he willingly jumped in but he might have. i know most green anoles hate to swim. it is a good pic. its especially neat the way his back legs are still brown.
i wouldnt think hed jump in either but i said that about my iguana yesterday, right before he dived in the pool (sigh) weve also fished frogs out of the pool, poor silly guys 
thats the greenest anole weve found, ive seen dozens other all brown or striped with brilliant dewlaps

He could have been either trying to drink from the pool or jumped out of a tree and landed in it ( anoles around my house fall from the trees and land in weird places) Or even a bird could have tried to catch him and he jumped into the pool, to get away from a bird or anything that could have scared him.
.......or maybe none of his friends showed up for his pool party.
