How long have you had her? Sometimes carpets need a little bit of time left alone to settle in before they will readily accept food.

yeah, i waited about a week before i feed mine. I gave mine a prekilled fuzzy mouse (as no one sells rats here
) I put my JCP in a diffrent container and jiggled the mouse infront of her (w/ tongs) and she took it. Mine's about a month old and yeah... she strikes out, but she's getting better.

My jungles don't bite too much, but I have noticed they are a bit more "clingy" then most pythons, very treepython like, My subadult female got wrapped around my wrists and did not want to let go, hence Kung FU grip lol, I would imagine other keepers of this python noticed similar behavior

Sorry its taken me so long to reply, I had her for about a week at the time of the post. This weekend will amke it about three weeks since I have got her. Since that weekend I have left her undisturbed and will try again this week end
Guess all she needed was sometime, she struck and ate today with a lot of vigor
