incubating leopard tortoise eggs

KMH Jun 23, 2006 07:50 PM

Hey, I'm new to the board.

I went out to check my small tortoises today and found three eggs with my two leopard tortoises and one Hermann's tortoise. I'm hoping they are from my leopards and that they are fertile. The information I have found so far says to incubate them in vermiculite hydrated at a ratio of 1:1, and at a temp of 30-31C. Also read that incubation can take from four to six months. Has anyone on this board successfully hatched leopard tortoises? Any tips or hints?

Thanks for any information.
