I love coachwhips, so far I haven't gotten my hands on one for very long. I was wondering what the largest racer or coach is? And also what's the largest possible attainable racer or coach?

Some of the eastern coachwhips out of Florida are absolute monsters, I've heard reports of some over 8 feet.

Here's a picture of an 80" western coachwhip from San Antonio I found a few years ago. I know easterns get bigger, but it's the biggest/longest one I've found.

That western was beatiful. I'll have to look for some easterns then . Thanks for the replies.

According to Conant and Collins (1998), the record for all Coaches is an Eastern at 102 /- inches, and the record for a Western is 80 inches.
