How Are Glass Door Guides Installed?

Dan_W Jun 24, 2006 06:08 AM

I have a 30"X20"X15"(height) plywood terrarium made, and it is all sealed and ready to go... All that remains for me to do is to install the sliding glass doors and substrate barrier. I'd like to get EZ glide or another premium guide system, so that the opening of the doors is a breeze.

What's the best system, what kind of door pulls are best, and how do you install the system?

Thanks!

Dan

I use safety glass and standard plastic track top and bottom. I also have some pulls that just stick on the glass they are nice and cheap.

I simply liquid nail the track in place making sure it is straight.

I have never had it come loose even with some big snakes striking the glass.

I also reuse it after the cage needs replacing, the liquid nails doesn't effect its reuse just need a hobby knife to clean it up a bit.

I use the locktite stuff vs traditional liquid nails.

Good Luck
