hi, my female gave birth to a litter of 24 big, healthy babies with one dead runt in 2001(her 1st), a litter of 21 healthy in 2003(2nd), and in 2005 an "average" litter of 8. She's a very big six footer and because of the smaller litter size last year, I decided to try her again this year(without the usual year off). She went off feed three months ago and is basking every day. I'm hoping for babies by august. Also, the last two breedings were with a different, but much more colorful male; this may have affected the litter size, but the babies are much more beautiful. e.g. only one "garden phase" as opposed to many the first two litters. regards, Joe
