You need to buy washed and screened play-sand.They sell it in most hardware stores in 40-50 pound bags.Make sure it say's washed and screened on the bag and that you get a dry bag.I always run it through a fine screen myself to make sure there are no large pieces that were missed before and it helps to cut down on dust.I use a fine window screen to do this.

URO'S RULE ALL!!!

1.0 Mali Uromastyx (OZ) DOUG DIX

I house my Uros on bird seed (mostly white and red millet) and it's easy to take care of, easy on their feet, and they even snack on it. I also added some wild bird food that includes sunflower seeds and cracked corn, they snack on the cracked corn and millet. I didn't realize their jaws were that strong to munch cracked corn like it was nothing... then I accidentally got bit by one of my Uros when I held a superworm for it for a snack. It felt like I pinched my finger in a pair of pliers, and I had a mark on my finger for weeks in the shape of his mouth. He must have really wanted that worm that time because he's usually real careful. Now I know what their bite is like too!! OUCH!!!
