O/T Not a good Day

lizard_lover Jun 24, 2006 07:25 PM

I know this isn't about lizards, but it is about my other four-legged passion. Yesterday afternoon my dear, sweet Siamese cat, Crystal, had a litter of six beautiful babies, delivered by c-section. This morning at 11:30 Crystal died in my lap on the way to the vet's office--I couldn't get there fast enough for her. I don't know why she died.

I am absolutely heartbroken, and I have six hungry mouths that need feeding every two hours. (I work full-time 55 miles away from home, by the way.) This is not a good day, to say the least, and while I know there is not a thing anyone can do for me, it helps to just say it to someone.

Thanks for listening.

I wish I could be there, I'm so very very sorry you lost her. It's so shocking and tramatic when we lose a fur kid so abruptly, I know I lost my doggie so fast in Jan.

My heart is heavy and I feel your terrible sadness and pain, as do many on here that have lost a great furry friend. But as sad and terrible as it is, she is in great hands now and fine. But you have to stay tough and somehow take her responsiblity and be mom to her kids.

Do you know anyone or could your vet maybe contact someone who may have a cat with a litter right now, that may be able to help? Gosh I sure wish I lived near you... ahhhhhh...

I wish I could think of something brilliant to say to help. Just so sorry about this Elan, if ya feel like talking anytime email me, Hang in there kido, it will work out somehow.

Be strong for her kids .. keep in touch
