Eve, that's great!
I know it's early but I'm curious to know if you can sex it yet ... or at least in the next week.
So, what did incubation duration end up at after all?
My dwarf bicinctores female is just now digging. Gestation so far is at 55 days since first noticing gravid colors on her. Due to the fact that she's taking so long, I'm beginning to think that the father will also be my vestigium since she was also with him early on. The only diff between your pair and mine is that your female is the vesti and in my case the vesti is the male so that's got to be taken into consideration ... right?
Also in my case, my bicinctores female was with both the vesti and the dwarf bicinctores male about the time I began to noticed gravid colors so I guess the proof will be in the pudding so to speak ... lol.

Good work,
John

Hi, thank you, well incubation was long like vestigium at 67 days.

You think like me, I already tried to sex it, but he was squirmy and I did not want to stress the lil baby so I will tell ya within the next few days. I think it should be easy to sex.

As far as what you said about the opposite of your girl, ya have it wrong we seem to have had the EXACT situation. The father of this hatchling is Chino, my male vestigium (Chippewa's daddy)

The mother is a lovely female bicinctores I had got from Will a couple years ago. Shes quite a looker.

Let me know how your girl does.

You're right, for some reason I thought the vesti had laid this egg. I still wonder if it will be difficult to sex especially if it takes after the vestigium. If it takes after the bicinctores and it turns out to be male, I'm thinking it will be much easier as you'll hopefully see enlarged scales. If it's a female you might have to wait the better part of a year to be sure. If the characteristics resemble both parents ... Oh my, I don't even want to go there right now ... lol.

Hehhehee, well we will see. Whatever or who-ever the baby will look like is okay with me. Each parent is pretty! Each species is COOL.

Hope your girls lays soon. Hey Wait till ya see what I jsut bought, LOL One is a collared (nice colored young male, but I got a beautiful colorful PAIR of........ I'm not telling yet,

I had some cocerns when I read a post erlier of someone that had five eggs, one hatched, the other ones were moving in there shells and when they stopped moving he opened the shells and had fully mature babies, but they where dead, I had also read in the Bearded Dragon board that they have to help some of the babies out by cutting the shell, so this isn't common with the Collared Lizards?

Thanks
Cecil
