Retarded snake

perseus Jun 25, 2006 12:28 AM

I have a young male ball pythn that I honestly beleive to be retarded(many reasons why). He refuses to spend any time whatsoever on the warm side of his cage, and I beleive has a small RI (vet visit tomorrow). The temps and huimidity are correct and often measured, is there some way to convince him to use ther warm end or will I end up needing to heat his entire enclosure?

LOL, I don't think his staying on the cool side is reason enough to believe him retarded. How well does he function otherwise? Does he eat well? Is he digesting well? Bowels moving regularly? What ARE your temps? Might it be to warm on the warm side? As long as he seems to be doing OK hangin' out on the cool side just give him a hide on that side and be sure to get him to the vets and get the RI checked out. JMO.
