Hi, I've got two red-ears and two yellow bellied sliders. All are a year old and up to four inches in length. Thing is, I'm scheduled to travel overseas to work and want to bring them with me. The place is Taiwan.

I just wonder, what is the best carrier and mode of getting them there? I cannot put them in the cargo. But I want to get them safely.

Pets are allowed in Taiwan. The details of this matter I'll find out.

what i've heard from peoples stories is that if you bunker them down in a warm moist towel they will fall asleep and almost go into a hybernation state!
can you bring them on the plane with you? maybe if you have the money you can buy them a seat, or use them as carry on luggage...

Also make sure you can bring them back into the states when you return! Unless you're staying in Taiwan forever. Perhaps you should ask US Customs what the rules are for pets. I believe most airlines now pressurize cabins prior to takeoff, so hopefully the altitude won't hurt them.
