Your particular model is a stacking set that apparently has a 1/2" max width. To use you simply place the chipper sets the three twin blade pieces between the two edge cutters. This will give you your dado.

Its actually fairly simple to use but a pain to adjust, the way to make it smaller or larger is add or remove chippers. For your application you will need to set it for two passes. I can't imagine that set is very acurate, due to it not having shims at all the Forest set and Harbor freight seam to be the best rated models, frued is somewhere in the mix.

Unfortunatly Craftsman is not very well rated.

I my self use a really old wobble dado, or my router.

What is exactly the problem you are having?

problem i was having was aligning the stack of dado blades correctly with eachother. ive never used them before and seems like no one else in my area has. luckily i found a guy at lowes in the tool rental office that knows it very well and showed me. he was probably the 20th person i asked between lowes, HD, and sears. but its solved now

i know craftsman isnt the best but its what i could afford. i prefer dewalt products myself.

The blades are listed as for the outside so you need to stack the chippers inside of the two blades. Your arbor may not be long enough to accept all three chippers.

Aligning these is pretty easy. Just make sure the offset built into the teeth does not overlap and you should be fine.

Is that what you needed?

yep thats what i needed i actually got it right from someone at lowes who actually knew what they were talkin about. thanks tho. i know it was a dumb question but i just never delt with dado before and read the directions which said if i aligned them wrong it could cause harm or tool problems.

got the project going, got all the dado cuts done and fitted it together and drilled my pilot holes for my screws. tomorrow i will be drilling vent holes, attaching vent covers, gluing and screwing together, then sealing with silicone ill post pics when done
