Which smaller monitor is best? (under or around 2 ft)

Porkins May 19, 2003 10:12 PM

I would like to aqcuire a good, hardy, and intelligent Monitor Lizard, but would like to know the best? I have read up on alot of species, but alot are to large, and I would like one I can keep hanging around all the time. I would appreciate any info you guys(or gals) can give me about monitor lizards like personal expriences, or good websites about them.

Thanks for the help!

Ackies are great. They're intelligent, interesting, and fairly bold. I never got mine used to being held (didn't try), but he lets touch him without running for cover, and when I open the door of his enclosure, he invariably comes over to see what's going on.
