Constructing a lid for a round cage

buffysmom Jun 25, 2006 11:50 PM

I bought a kiddie pool to house 2 young Eastern Box Turtles outside. I need some sort of lid for it to prevent predators from entering & the turts from escaping. I'd like to use something like screening material or hardware wire so they get the sunshine benefits (the whole reason for being outside).

Any suggestions on how to create a lid or cover for a round cage?

the lid doesn't have to be round, you could construct a square frame out of 2x2's or 2x4's and then cover with hardware cloth or chicken wire.have fun!
