I bought a kiddie pool that I'd like to use to house my new Eastern boxies outside. They are young (2-3 years old), so it's not going to be a permanent home, but a little place for them to be outside during the summer. I am thinking of using a mixture of peat moss & top soil from Home Depot (chemical free, of course) & planting some edible plants in there for them. Does this sound like a good substrate & setup? I've already posted on the design forum looking for ideas on how to build a lid for it to keep them safe, but any suggestions on any aspect of the project are surely welcome.
My turts are arriving on Tues.
