Ok...I'm getting very upset...I swear that I typed the entire post above, and IT ONLY DISPLAYED THE FIRST HALF!!!!! This computer HATES ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Requirements:
1 - 150x30 pixels max
2 - less than 10kb size
3 - jpg

I cannot, for the life of me, get the dang banner to be less than 10 kb! I'm not computer stupid, but I'm starting to think I am!

I'm posting it here, b/c there isn't a "COMPUTERS ARE STUPID" sub-forum.
Please help!

Google for "Interactive Jpeg Optimizer". It will allow you to reduce the FILESIZE of any jpg file without reducing the dimensions (which it will also do if you want). Pretty cool program, and its freeware.

FILE-SAVE AS-JPEG
A JPEG OPTIONS dialog box will appear. Look for the slider bar that goes from small file to large file. Nudge it a little to the left towards small file.

Go to "Image"....then "Image size"....then under that go to "reslotion". keep entering smaller and smaller numbers until you hit under 10k when you save (and save file as small). Start at 72 rez and work down...............

You can also use the "save for web" feature under the "file" menu
When you click on this a new window will pop up.
On the lower right side you should see a window w/ tabs entitled "color table" and "image size"
if you click on "image size"
A new table comes up and you can input the exact size you want.
Good luck.
