If you are getting temps of 85-89 on the warm side, then your cool side probably much lower than that.

Ball pythons like a temperature gradient from 82-84 on the cool side and 92-94 on the warm side.

Your temps are probably the main cause of his feeding issue.

10 gallon tanks are very difficult to heat. No offense, but why are you housing a $400 animal in a $13 enclosure???

The 10 gallon is a temp enclosure.I'm ordering a rack.

Nice!

A rack and a proportional thermostat (like a herpstat or helix) is the only way to go with ball pythons! Makes life for you much much easier!

I had the same problem last year.... I purchased a Proven Breeder Male pastel. Garanteed feeder of course from a very reputable breeder. He showed up in Great Condition. But it took him almost 2 months to acclimate and finally start feeding.... Now he will eat anything anytime. Awsome snake.
