Jeff:
Frenata is still quite rare as a captive bred (cb) animal. VMS had an ad for a cb frenata. There have been several ads for wild caught (wc) frenata. The condition of wc asian ratsnakes depends on several factors. The condition of the snakes provided by the local collector, the ability of the importer at rehabilitation (including any parasite elimination) and finally the strength or weakness of the individual species. Mortality rates for wc mandarina and moellendorfi has generally been poor. I haven't spoken to enough importers and breeders to know if frenata is robust or delicate.

Good luck
John

You're welcome.

Jeff, try to get the maximum husbandry information from the dealer you bought the snake from. If they're good guys they'll help you out with as many keeping tips as they have.

Best luck
John
