I had a clutch layed about 2 weeks ago and I just read in one of the responses to anothers question.will my female lay another clutch 2-4 weeks after her first clutch?Does the male have to be present in the cage with her?If not how do I get her to regain some weight before she lays again?Do I power feed her? (waxworms, and hoppers once or twice a week)This is my first clutch and I dont know what to expect.

The male doesn't have to be in with teh female after the first clutch for a female to lay several more clutches afterwards. She can retain sperm for up to a year after her initial mating.

Best way to ensure she regains weight after each clutch is to privide her with plenty of healthy greens and extra feedings of insects (one feeding of insects a day usually is enough) Adding a few waxworms and/or a pinky mouse can help her put on weight as well. However don't feed too many waxworms as this can turn her away from other healthier insects. A pinky a week is fine between clutches. Other good insects to offer are superworms, silkworms, hornworms etc.
