Hi, i've got a young male who has been a typical Royal and has had the odd bout of fasting and the odd missed meal but for the last three weeks he has looked really keen and has taken the prey eagerly (2 weeks ago a mouse and this week a rat) but has then refused to eat it. does this happen to anyone else or any ideas what the problem might be?

Bps are picky eaters. As long as he is eating some it doesnt seem odd. Is he CB?

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me, yes he is captive bred (poss het 4 albino) - I have a few royals and they've all had spells not eating but they've always just not been interested at all - i offer the food and they just turn their noses up at it but this one has eagerly taken the food and constricted it and then just not eaten it 3 times which seems a little strange to me, any ideas would be really appreciated. many thanks.
