Dbl het Ghost x Dbl het Ghost = !

boaphile Jun 27, 2006 07:46 AM

Well, we have the products of a double het for Ghost to double het for Ghost breeding. Only we didn't get any Ghosts and we didn't get any Anerythristics. We did get these babies though. I guess I'll just have to get over it.

Here are a couple shots still in all the go:

The five most striking Hypos. What am I going to do with these now!?

All the Hypos together:

Total count is 12 Hypos, 7 non-Hypos and 2 slugs. No Ghosts. No Anerythristics. But then I guess I shouldn't really complain should I?

Things always get cloudy, just before transformation.

It really doesn't matter. At least from the finger pointing perspective it doesn't matter. I bought both of these animals from different guys who each got them from another breeder. A well known breeder. But, it certainly is possible to breed two het for anerythristic animals, produce 19 babies and not get an anery. It is very unlikely but possible. Also, I have seen animals pop up that could only have been produced from retained sperm several times. The same could have been the case with either of these two hypos that may have been fathered by a male from a previous breeding. Previous to the Anery X Hypo breeding that is. No finger pointing from me on this one.

You got some really nice babies from that pairing. Too bad you didn't get any anery or ghost but those supers are just that....super!!

I'm sure I could handle a couple hypos if you don't want them

Very nice litter there...sux on the no anery or ghost though.

but you shouldn't take it out on the babies patterns. Next time you don't produce a morph, promise me you won't erase the baby's pattern okay.

Thanks.

Oh, yeah, CONGRATS!
