Does anyone have any objections to shredded Aspen, and why?? What should I use as an alternative.

I don't have anything against aspen, but aspen is very dry and it will keep the air in the cage dry also. That is not a good thing for ball pythons. Cypress is good because it will help keep the humidity up if misted (the cypress not the whole cage) about once to twice a day depending on the climate you are in.

I use towels or pillowcases. Very easy to clean!

I use Aspen for my mouse breeding, but use newspaper for my Balls. I only have 20 Balls, but newspaper is cheap and easy. Its also nice at feeding time, just throw food in and not worry about the Ball eating wood chips or shavings.

Good luck... JAZ
