I cranked the temp up to 82 for the day. He was hungry I can tell. I don't think I was patient enough with him. I though he would just lunge out for it. I used the heat light and put it in there he snaped at it missed and I dropped it in the water, so I had to re heat him under the light. Tried again and wham. Nice. So do I leave it at 82 or drop back to 80 in a few days. Also this will be number 2 he ate. So one more feed and then he should poop correct for my readings.

Thanks again
Jeff

Jeff-
Its good to know you're working it out with your little guy.
I dunno, I like 82...80 seems to slow things down too much and 84 seems too intense for a constant. Probably magic thinking on my part, but that's what I do. I use a temp-gun BTW and have come to rely on it a lot. The rule of no more than three feeds w/o B.M. is a good one, but its not gospel. There are varibles to consider; growth rate, size of prey, etc. Exercise is aslo part of best-practice husbandy too. Keeps metabolism up and gives the handler a chance to inspect the animal more closely and regularly.
I don't know if you keep notes normally, but helps me to do so with the more challenging species like aboreal boas. In any case, you're doing fine.
