Meet Manga * Zimbas new lady werneri

PHEve Jun 28, 2006 08:42 PM

This cute young lady arrived today to keep the handsome Zimba company soon, since the passing of his wife Zambi .

Shes younger, and smaller but looks very nice, such a cute lil horn hehehehe, and is quite active in her new home.

Manga came from my friend Jeff, at JT's Amazon Exotics. I'm quite pleased with this young lady .

Manga, a gift to Zimba :0)

Sorry I did not get back and thank you guys for the kind words, or have not been around but our female pup Dandi needed emergency surgery on Thurs. She was so very ill, they felt a hardness in her tummy and thought maybe she ate an object of some kind. They preformed surgery but found no foreign bodies.

It was called "Intussusception" it is the sliding or telescoping of the intestine within itself. It occurs primarily in the small intestine but may occasionally occur in the large intestine. When the intestine slides within itself the blood supply to that section is greatly reduced and the tissue begins to swell and then die.

Anyway she came out of it fine and came home yesterday doing well. Had to be seperated from her brother for 2 weeks no jumping, running, playing, so shes in a large cage until staples are removed.

Then late last night(Fri) Bear the male pup, started with the same terrible symptoms, we were freaked, so sick every few minutes, and layed there listless. He went in at 8 this morning. We could not imagine how one could catch intestinal damage/ problem, 2 days later.

Anyway they are doing all kinds of tests and blood work on Bear, and think this may be coincidence or he has maybe picked up a bacterial thing that she may have had first, that caused her intestinal problem.???

Just don't know but we got one home recouping, doing awesome and one in there , been a NIGHTMARISH experience.

So again sorry for not answering posts back right away. Be back later, everybody be GOOD, LOL

Gee, you have certainly had more than your share these past several months! I am glad Dandi is OK and will send good thoughts to Bear. If it is the same thing, it is an odd coincidence - hope all is OK!

Manga is a little cutie and I am sure Zimba will be delighted when he finally meets her

Hang in there kiddo! I had a brief scare with Darwin a few days ago - no fun worrying about any of our faithful companions. Scary stuff
