My first litter of the year. Bolivians

LeeBarrie Jun 28, 2006 09:34 PM

I was checking the Gilas tonight & low & behold the first Bolivian to ovulate had dropped me 21 nice little babies and a couple taters. I was only expecting around 14. I guess she is a bit bigger than I thought. Happy suprise for me. Looks like I will be up quite a bit later than I was hoping for tonight. These little guys are from my high peak line and I'm pretty pleased with their looks. I can't wait until they lighten up.

If so, I was thinking slugs but she seems to be gaining some girth now so maybe there are some viables in there. Should know in about a month. Then those nasty beasts are going straight back to Bill whether he likes it or not. The formally gay male freaking hates me.

Congrats first on your new litter.. they look very nice and it is always fun to get more than you expected!@!

I assume when you say the Watsons that means you have a few from Peter Watsons collection is that correct? Would love to see how they turn out.

So the male does not like you much huh.. maybe he thinks you are trying to take his gal or something. Funny how no matter what some animals just dont like being messed with. Doesnt even seem to matter if they have been in your collection for years or not. Bet cage cleaning day is fun around there!!! Nothing like having to clean up after them AND DODGE the big fat head as he leaps out at ya.

Congrats again..

See you in a few weeks.

The Aspen sure makes a nice substrate, but kinda of a pain with newborns. Sticky stuff everywhere.

I'm in a bit of a hurry tonight but I'll get some more pics soon.

Enjoy,

Lee

I can't wait until her sister drops. Those should really be some killers.

How are you're little grey beasties doing this year?

Great to hear people are still getting litters of pure BCC"s. I like hypos and so on but I love locales alot more.

The B.c.c. don't start dropping for another month. These little guys are amarali.

Siegi Jun 29, 2006 02:04 AM

I love the bolivians, but I´ve heard many times that they are realy difficulty to raise up ? (regurcitation syndrom) Is that right ?
Or is this an old behavior of the wild caught amaralis ?

please excuse my english

I can't remember any of my baby amarali having any such problems. You just have to stay away from power feeding & they will do just fine.
