New Baby Green Anaconda Female

Sarge2004 Jun 29, 2006 01:04 AM

This morning my new baby female green anaconda arrived from Jud McClanahan and Kelly Haller. She was born on Oct 10, 2005 and is about 24 inches long and a solid F/T rat eater In keeping with the tradition of this line of extremely docile anacondas I just picked her up right out of the box and she is as calm and beautiful as my male. Right now she is exploring her cage as if she owns the place-lol. Also got an equally calm and beautigul baby super tiger retic female from Jud too. Life is good-BIll.

Amazing. After being shipped over 1,000 miles and being in a new environment for only a day she ate a F/T rat pup Thursday night with no hesitation-took it right off tongs. That is unreal for a baby green to eat so soon after shipping. Bill.

Also the very docile. It seems like it is a fun snake to work with.

Glad to hear your male is doing good too. These are fun snakes to work with. Kelly and Jud are doing great work-not only in the breeding but in the acclimation/interaction area. Uaually a baby green will take a good while to eat after shipping-these ones are eating right away. These green anacondas amaze me more every day. They are much calmer than a boa. Take care-Bill.
