egg advice needed...

WEEBEASTIES Jun 29, 2006 10:41 AM

my first time with balls and I'm at day 63...temps have been between 88 and 90 the whole time. Do you wait for the snakes to make an appearance? do you cut the eggs and if so when? How long is to long to wait? Your advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

If they eggs look fine I'd leave them be.

Good luck!

The previous responses are legitimate. However, I think it would be fine to cut them open. I cut my eggs at 52 or 53 days. (when Im too excited to see what morphs I got) It is a risk. They typicaly stay in the eggs for a few more days but eventualy come out. If you cut them open you can touch them with your finger to see they move. If they move theyre alive and will probably be fine. What you dont want do is force them out of the egg before theyre ready. Remember theyre still absorbing yolk.

Whether you cut or let them pip youll probably be fine. But if youre nervous about cutting they should be just fine waiting for them to come out on thier own.

Its certainly safe[r]?? to let come out on their own. Considering theyre 8 days over I dont see any reason you couldnt cut them.

Good Luck.
