Anyone using Coco fibers AKA Bed-A-Beast

Drakken Jun 29, 2006 11:17 AM

I tried searching but couldn't find anything on using this substrate with beardies.

Anyone use this?

Bed-a-beast is not a good substrate for bearded dragons. It holds too much moisture, can cause impaction problems, can mold if damp for a long time, insects can hide in it too easily etc. Best to stick to washed children's play sand, non stick shelf liner, paper towel, newsprint etc. as safe substrates to use.
