8x2x2 and make 2 basking sites on the far ends and a cool area in the middle, then have it dividable to make into 2 cages for a pair so you could have a pair and allow them to be separated or together. would this work??????? could i just keep one dragon in there until i can get another?????? is brighter better than darker for the cage overall???? thanx!!!!!!!!

Yes the brighter the better. I did recently accquire two new babies that I have devided up a 6X2X2 up into two 3 foot cages and was able to give them each a sutable gradient. The most important thing when doing something like this is to make sure they both have a good gradient 105 in the basking spot and down to 80 at the far end of each cage. I do plan on getting two permanant cages built for them this just was a temperary fix as they still are babies. It should work for you. You just might have to raise the basking spot up to the bulb so you can use a lower wattage bulb for a good gradient or add a shaded spot on the cool end were they can hide if it gets to warm.
