Buying my BRB

mcwoods Jun 29, 2006 08:06 PM

hey guys,
I am a college student at Brown U. in RI. I decided last spring that when i returned to school in the fall, i was going to buy a pet snake. my search has led me to Brazilian Rainbow Boas for a couple reasons. what I really need help with is housing for my BRB. what type of cage would be most suitable and cheapest (I am a college student) for my snake? how big of a cage should i be looking for to last its whole life?

thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,
I had just asked the same question a couple of weeks ago. Here is a link to the thread. Many of your questions will probably be answered. Not that I don't want to take the time to answer it right here, but I'd have to go back and re-read that thread again any way and then repost it. They are really cool snakes. If you happen to find one that is young and is climbing around the cage it's in, try to get that one. The one we have is active while we have her out of the cage, but remains buried under the substrate while in the cage.
Best of luck to you,
Rob
