Hi Chris......

Hi Chris. It's been a while. Hope you and your collection are well. Have a quick question for you if I could. Not being skilled like you and some of the other guys, I had a friend of mine who is a cabinet maker build some cabinets with casters for my Vison cages for the Black Milks (nice storage underneath). Problem is he delivered them yesterday and had just finished painting them (still a bit tacky) and he apparently used some black semi gloss that is oil based. After he left I moved all my snakes out of the basement because the smell was so strong. Any idea when it might be safe to move the guys back down stairs? Thanks. Bob

Hi Bob,

I'm not completely sure. I have not used oil-based paint much since some of the more recent VOC regulations came out. In many cases the amount of solvent has had to be reduced which sometimes means the paint takes longer to cure as it goes on thicker. Still I'm guess just a couple of weeks. Try to ventilate the area as much as possible to get rid of the excess solvent.

Thanks Chris! It just had never crossed my mind to ask him to use regular latex for the job. Oh well. They are very nice though. As always, I appreciate your help.
Bob
