I have a baby bp and an adult bp. the adult wont eat rats. matter of fact, she wont eat mice either. she will only eat gerbils. anyway, my baby is only a few months old, but i was wondering at what size i could start it on rat pups so that it gets used to the taste/smell of rats?

I have 5 ball pythons my adult male won't eat rats, but the other's will.My adult female(1289g)eats like there's no tomorrow,my 1.1 hets are 480g & 590g and both eat rats and my Graziani pastel is 300g and will only eat rats.I say if you can find the right size rat (pinky,fuzzy,hopper)for you snake's and they will eat them give it to them.Hope this helps.

One of our hatchlings just took its first meal, a rat pinkie. If I can help it, she will never see a mouse.

All of my balls feed on rats right away. They will never see a mouse!
