CLutch 9 preview CLown to het 8 clowns

morphkingreptile Jun 30, 2006 12:13 PM

I am taking a picture later this afternoon. We just produced 8 Clowns with 8 eggs bred from a CLown to a deffinite het. That is 22 Clowns out of 22 eggs and counting "from the Clown in charge.." with over 50 eggs to go. Pretty lucky huh? These are so hard to make and I have worked my project and it is that big. Normal people may make 2 to 4 of these a year. Just had to tell everyone. Thanks Tracy at VPI for a great het and 8 clown clutches to go with just over 50 eggs.

So you don't think that the Clown will soon go the way of the Spider by producing so many - not to mention advertising the vast quantities produced??? If you are able to hold the price, while flooding the market, good for you - but I can't imagine someone wanting to invest in this market when the writing is on the wall so clearly.

Good luck!!

How can you flood a market with animals that most people can not afford and even if they can they have to have female adult hets and or female Clowns to breed them with? You would actually prefer that breeders not be honest about what they are producing and selling? Do you realize that if they tell you or not what they produce it does not change what they produce or how many. To think that anyone would prefer a lie to being honest about a business investment? How many Clowns do you actually think are being produced this year? Where can you purchase a female Clown? How long does it take to breed them from hatchling to adult? Investing in a morph or morphs where the breeders lie to their clients about how many they are producing is “ridiculous”. Have you given any thought to the other morphs that are being produced this year by MKR and other breeders? The Clown is only one morph and they are far from plentiful beyond their demand.

Sounds like you should have plenty more to come from the odds so far.

For me someone not particularily into ball pythons, I have become quite fond of the clowns and numerous others..I suppose they aren't that bad after all, unless some giant balls pop up
