albino mocquardi

This is an old picture when he was a sub adult but I always liked the way he was posing in this one. Unlike other adult mocquardi I have that are much more shy, when this guy smells thawing rodents he will come to the front of his drawer, start trashing his tail about and charge any movement that passes the cage. Randy:
I've never worked with any taeniura. I assumed that they were sort of nervous and aggressive. I get the feeling from your post that they are not aggressive. Is that so?

Regards
John

Most of the taeuiura sub species are nervous and on the high strung side. It does vary from one to the next somewhat though. The albino mocquardi above is more laid back than some others I have. This female mocquardi pictured tries to rip my hand off every time I handle her and makes handling her quite interesting. Most are not too bad if handled from a hatchling.
The taeniura friesi are much more laid back than the other sub species. Randy W.
