Black Spots??? Has anyone see this?

FireDrake Jun 30, 2006 08:18 PM

I am at a loss with this.... and yall are my second to last resort!

I have a young adult female dragon who is growing black spots! She has them on her face, tail, back, legs, none on her belly. The spots are little, usually on a couple scales, some are three to four scales. They are not mites, I can tell you that much. THey dont seem to be getting bigger, but more are appearing, and are not going away. She hasnt shed in a while so I cant say if they shed out or not.
Temps are 105-110 in the hot side, in the mid 80's in the cool side, she is eating greens, cockroaches, silkies, mealies, waxies. And IS housed with another female of same size who does not have these spots.
My next step it biopsy or microscopic exam at my vet of course, but I thought I would at least ask here if anyone had seen this before?

Thanks,
Sarah
