Long time no pictures...

johne Jun 30, 2006 09:02 PM

I decided to take a coule pictures of my lone male collared today just before sundown. I feel bad, because I no longer can keep them outside...at least not yet. I have been giving them some sessions outside everyday I can in a 20 long reptarium. It's not ideal, but it's better than nothing.

My chucks are starting to shed so they don't look so hot. I'll get new pictures when I can.

He looks awesome. I wish I could breed him with some of my females. Keep the pictures coming!

johne Jul 06, 2006 10:00 AM

Just send over as many females as you want him to breed with

Just kidding. Are all of your aquaflame males gone?

mlove Jun 30, 2006 09:56 PM

Your collareds are beautiful. Look at those smiles.

I've had this pair for about 4 years now...they really haven't grown too much amazingly. They have been kept outdoors about 5 months of the year until this year. The male already looked very colorful though, so I can't take credit for nature :O)

Yea, I meant he is my only male. Spice is a bit slim since she laid that clutch of eggs, but she is eating good, so should be filling back out soon. Been giving her extra water too since she's never too interested in drinking.

What do you mean you can't keep them outside? What happened to the awesome setup you had? I was thinking about coming to see it later this summer when I move back to Champaign.

Hope you're having a good weekend!
David

johne Jul 02, 2006 07:58 AM

I had to leave that setup there. I would have liked to have taken it with me, but is was buried in the ground about 24" and was basically a part of my deck. I will build something here at my new house, but I so much more work here that needs done before I can work on another deck/pen.

Have you figured out a major yet?

J

David Jul 02, 2006 09:30 AM

Well that stinks. Yeah, it would have been a bit hard to take it with you...and to explain to the new owners why there is a huge hole in the deck

Well, on the bright side, I'm sure you've learned quite a bit about outdoor enclosures and will soon have a much better setup at the new place! Just pretend the first one was the trial run...

Figured out a major yet? hummmm Well, I'm about halfway through a degree in Computer Engineering, so I guess I'll stick with that. However, I'm thinking more about getting a Masters in Business something when I finish the engineering degree. Apparently there is a big demand for that kind of thing.

johne Jul 02, 2006 07:26 PM

I would recommend that in a second! Good luck with the degree too. I'll have something for my lizards before too long I hope. Then I'll have some room to get them all back from Eve...

ha, ha.

PHEve Jul 02, 2006 07:53 PM

I'll send them back, WATCH ME, hheheheheheeee

But I will watch Chili and Spice until you get an outdoor enclosure built, hahahhahahahahaaa
