my Albino male...

BoaLijah Jul 01, 2006 08:00 AM

About a month ago I bought a baby pair of albinos and they were FEDEXed to me. The female has been an eating machine and has pounded 7 mice, but the male will not eat!!! They were the same size when they arrived (from the same clutch) but the baby male is now looking like a Night Crawler earth worm while the female is fat and healthy.

I have been trying EVERYTHING to get this little guy to eat unnsuccessfully. CAn anyone possibly help and get the little fellow eating??

Teddy sorry to hear that about your boa.First thing I would do is make sure that he feels SECURE in his enclosure.I would do that by putting him in his OWN cage (if you are housing him with the female.)I would provide TIGHT fitting HIDES in his enclosure.(more than one).I would crank up the heat about 2 to 3 degrees warmer before I feed him and try a pinky or hopper.Something that you could leave overnight, that won't hurt him.I would then feed him very late at night before you go to bed.HAVE YOU TRIED A SMALL DEAD MOUSE(HOPPER)? Good Luck.
