do scales fade?

baby_ball Jul 01, 2006 04:56 PM

My one year old has several scales along her back that appear to be fading. They are almost white now and are located in a tan/gold area of her back. There are also a few scales right near the back of her head on her stripe that passes through her eye that are "fading" out to white. Is this common?

Thanks!

Thanks for your input. I just wanted to be sure it wasn't some kind of skin condition. I worry because the first ball we had died when I owned it for 11 months, we figure it was about 17 months old at that point and I want to be sure everything is right with this one always. She's a normal but to us she is special.

Thanks!
